4-piece workshop kit of threaded guide pins in a steel case — screw a pin into a wheel-hub bolt hole to lift, align and slide heavy alloy wheels straight onto the hub. Covers the common thread sizes, no more one-handed wheel juggling.

The Powerflex PowerAlign Wheel Mounting Guide Pin Kit is a 4-piece workshop set that makes fitting alloy wheels on lug-bolt (stud-less) vehicles safer, faster and easier. Thread the correct pin into one of the bolt holes on the wheel hub, lift the wheel and rest it on the pin, then slide it into position — the pin holds the wheel level and keeps the remaining holes aligned so the other bolts thread in cleanly. It removes the awkward, back-straining job of holding the wheel with one hand while starting the first bolt, cutting the risk, hassle and strain of wheel mounting.

Each pin is CNC-machined from high-strength AISI 303 stainless steel — around 50% stronger than plated mild steel — with colour-coded protective sleeves for quick size identification and anodised 2011-T6 aluminium caps that absorb knocks and protect the wheel. The kit covers the common wheel-bolt threads and comes in a steel storage case for the toolbox. Simulated and real-world workshop tested, backed by a lifetime warranty.

Kit contents: 4 guide pins (one each of the common threads — M12×1.25, M12×1.5, M14×1.25, M14×1.5) in a steel storage case.

Powerflex was formed in 1996 in UK to take advantage of the significant advances made in the development of polyurethane in recent years. The company has wide experience of automotive suspension and chassis systems and combining these design skills with advanced polyurethane manufacturing techniques led to the development of the wide range of high performance automotive polyurethane components now known the world over by the product name POWERFLEX.

Component manufacturing is carried out with the latest automatic processing equipment ensuring 100% right first time quality.

Testing of new components is carried out both on the vehicle and on test rigs. POWERFLEX were selected to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise International Trade 2013 and in December 2014 certified to ISO 9001 as a manufacturer underlining their quality and stature as a global exporter.

Materials are colour coded to make them easily identifiable. Below explains the shore rating and their common uses.

  • Red 65A – Used for universal exhaust mounts and diesel engine mounts.
  • Yellow 70A – Mainly used for engine mounts, diff mounts and subframe mounts or areas where the bush needs a lot of movement and absorption.
  • Purple 80A – Most common material. This is used in most areas of the suspension and provides the right mix between performance and compliance.
  • Black 95A – The hardest material. This is used mostly for Black Series range or in Road Series where the vehicles standard suspension demands require us to use this hardness of material i.e. in areas of high load.
