Very frequent problem of the ZF Limited Slip Differentials (LSD) found in BMW E30, E36, E34... is preload shims (Belleville washers) loosening their spring load or being damaged due to overheating. Therefore, replacing them when re-building or servicing your LSD is highly recommended.
The RacingDiffs shims are 30% stronger than the originals, hence your LSD performance will increase significantly. Higher pre-load delivers better lock/traction.
Besides spring washers, we do recommend changing clutch plates, as they are the main cause of differential overheating.
They are extra hardened to 55 HRC for greater longevity and enhanced performance.
There are 3 different sizes available - 168, 188, 210mm.
