Competition Clutch (CCI) Counterweight for MAZDA RX7 RX8 Counterweights

When changing the flywheel on a rotary engine, a new counterweight has to be fitted. This Competition Clutch counterweight works with Competition Clutch flywheels. It counterbalances the rotation of the rotors and is required for aftermarket flywheels. Because of the unique way a Wankel Rotary Engine works, a counterweight is required to balance the eccentric shaft. This is built into the stock flywheel, but on an aftermarket flywheel it represents a separate part.The counterweight must be precisely balanced with the flywheel to work properly.This counterweight works with Competition Clutch lightened flywheels.
